《Moonlight Shadow》传说是为纪念甲壳虫乐队被枪杀的主唱约翰·列侬而作。1980年12月8日，马克·查普曼伪装成一个歌迷，在列侬的公寓旁边徘徊了很久。那天晚上，当列侬从录音棚返回家中的时候，查普曼请列侬在他的签字本上签名。当时他内心曾进行过激烈的斗争，但最后仍然举起手枪朝着列侬的后背连开了4枪。 但细究后，这首歌应该和列侬的被刺并没有直接联系，似乎男主角死于一场决斗中，这倒像是普希金。不管怎样，歌曲是非常的好听。
